Oddly enough, planning a wedding  to me is just like branding. It has been a tad stressful, but it’s been my mission to find joy and love in all I do this year. Finally I’ve found my sweet spot when it comes to planning which actually worked to your advantage today. The things I love about wedding planning (color coordinating, themes, stationary, fonts) ultimately translate in the business world as branding. I know how stressful it can be trying to figure out visually what you want your business to convey, especially when trying to work with a web designer.  That’s why I wanted to create a simple visual branding style guide for you to use and I’ll tell you how to use it below.

What is a branding style guide?

A visual branding style guide is a representation of all of the visual aspects of a brand at a glance. See an example of how a brand guide for Kelley With Love might look.

Why do I need one and how do I use it?

You need a visual branding style guide because if you are planning to launch a business, website, or blog you want it to be easily identified as your business.

How will this help my business?

You can use a visual branding style guide to send to a web designer when building your website, to plan photo-shoots, and to maintain consistency across social media channels among many other things.

A visual branding style guide will help you stay visually consistent in your offerings, on social media, and is an easy way for other brands to tell if a collaboration would be a good fit between you and their company.
